Our founder, Joel Montgomery Senior, built Montgomery Bank on the values of treating everyone with kindness and respect. He lived those values every single day—happily greeting everyone he met by name, asking them about their day, their family, and keeping up with the lives of his neighbors. As anyone who knew him will surely tell you, Mr. Montgomery never met a stranger—he truly was “everybody’s person.” He touched the lives of countless people, leaving a lasting legacy in his community of Sikeston, Missouri, and well beyond.

Our founder, Mr. Montgomery, established the Sikeston Rescue Mission and Bootheel Food Bank, and we’re proud to say that our employees today possess that same servant heart. Many donate both their time and money to charities that give back to their communities, including the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center, the SEMO Food Bank, Relay for Life, United Way, the USO, Toys for Tots, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
